In this episode, I explore how social media is making direct sellers lazy and awkward and burning them out. 

It started during the pandemic when anyone could copy and paste anything to get results, but that’s not working anymore. Direct sellers are quitting, and companies are closing or going to an affiliate program.

Direct sellers are measuring success by looking at engagement and follower numbers. They get more training on how to increase their engagement and following than they do on how to increase their sales, booking, and recruiting results.

Direct sellers are recruited by being told that they just have to post about the products they love, and people will buy. 

They’re being trained by being given posts and messages to copy and paste, and when they don’t get the results they want, they’re told to just be more consistent.

If those strategies worked, leaders wouldn’t be losing their titles, numbers wouldn’t be down, and companies wouldn’t be closing or eliminating their fields. 

This is a skill-based business. When you learn, practice, and master the skills, you’ll build a successful business. When you train your team on these skills, you'll build an independent and profitable team.
