34. How to Meet More People in Your Everyday Life
Having a constant stream of new people enter your business is essential for your success.
In this episode, I’ll give you a system to add new people outside of your referral system.
This episode was inspired by an episode from The Mel Robbin’s Podcast (linked below) called Where Did All My Friends Go? A Simple Guide to Finding Your People.
By the time you finish this episode, you’ll know how to apply the concepts and framework of Mel’s system to meet new people for your business.
I know this is scary and out of your comfort zone. I don’t want to talk to strangers, so I give you all the tips to make this as easy as possible.
I give you an overview of how to know who your people are and where they hang out, and I tell you how to start a conversation without feeling weird or spammy.
I also give you tips on how to start doing this and how to make it part of your everyday life.
There are two keys to success for this.
The first one is that you have to be willing to put yourself out there and initiate connections. Very few people will come to you on their own.
Most of your business centers around initiating conversations, and when you can do it with anyone anywhere, imagine how easy it will be to do in a business situation.
The second key is understanding that this is part of your long game. It might take six months to get a sale or a booking by doing this, but that sale or booking could be the gateway to a completely new group of people you would have never met otherwise. Plus, just doing this will cause you to grow, learn, and increase your skills.
