Send me a message to let me know what you like and what you'd like to see more of. You can also send me a question for me to answer on a future episode.

Someone sent me this quote, “May the last six months of 2024 be the plot twist you’ve been waiting for,” and I loved it so much that I created this episode around it.

We’re halfway through the year. Six months have gone by very quickly, and six months from now, we’ll be marveling at how quickly the year went by.

What if we marveled at how much progress we made instead?

It's time to get some stuff going. If we want a plot twist, we have to write it ourselves.

The first step is reflecting on what’s happened this year. Do it without judgment, and take a moment to answer these questions:

  • What have you accomplished?
  • What are you proud of?
  • What have you done that was new?
  • What worked?
  • What have you learned?

Now, ask yourself where you want to be at the end of this year. What’s your goal? What do you want to do? The question isn’t what do you think you can do? It’s what do you want?

Then, I walk you through how to get what you want and tell you about the seemingly impossible plot twist that’s happening in my backyard right now.

When you’re writing your plot twist, ask yourself these questions:

  • What do you want to celebrate at the end of the year?
  • What do you need to do between now and then to reach your goal?
  • What can you do today to take the first/next step?

Then, every day between now and the end of the year, ask yourself, “What’s the next step I can take today?”

Some days, you’ll take several steps, and some days, you’ll take a baby step, but the key is to take a step every day.
