There are several myths about summer businesses:
The truth about summer is that summer’s different. It has its own vibe; people’s schedules are different, and people do different things in the summer than they do during the rest of the year.
In this episode, I give you several ideas for shifts you can make in your business to accommodate the summer season.
I also address two other common beliefs about summer: that you’ll miss out on the fun if you work your business and that you’re too busy to work your business.
A lot of direct sellers take a step back from their business during the summer because they believe these beliefs, and they do it without realizing the impact it has on their business in the fall and the New Year.
They think that posting a couple of times a week is enough to maintain their business, but what they’re really doing is digging themselves into a hole that will take the entire fall selling season to get out of. And then, they get themselves right back into it over the holidays and kick off the New Year having to make up ground before they can make any progress.
However, this doesn’t have to be your story because, in this episode, I outline another plan that you can use. This plan will allow you to cut back on your parties and events in the summer while keeping your customers and followers engaged and building momentum for the fall. If you follow this plan, you’ll be able to work your business in the nooks and crannies of your summer without missing out on anything.
If you want to see a visual example of the impact consistently posting makes, watch the Summer School video at the top of this page or read the captions on the images of this post.
